Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Closerr account and your personal data at any time. There are three ways to do it — pick whichever is easier for you.

Account deletion is immediate and permanent.

Once you confirm deletion we cannot restore your account, your personal preferences or any data tied to you personally. Please export anything you want to keep before you start.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)

This is the fastest route and works on iPhone, iPad, Android and the web app.

1Open Closerr and sign in

Use the device and account you want to delete.

2Go to the More tab

Tap More in the bottom navigation bar.

3Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete account"

The button is in the danger zone at the very bottom of the screen, below Sign out.

4Confirm twice

We'll ask you to confirm the action twice — once to start the deletion, once more to confirm you understand it cannot be undone. After the second confirmation your account is wiped immediately and you're signed out.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

Don't have access to the app? Email us from the address you registered with:

Subject: Delete my Closerr account
Body: Please include the email address on the account, the organisation name if you remember it, and a confirmation that you understand the deletion is permanent.

We will verify the request comes from the registered email address and complete the deletion within 30 days (usually within 2 business days). You will receive a confirmation email once it is done.

What gets deleted

Deleted immediately

  • Your user record (name, email, password hash, profile photo)
  • Your personal preferences and settings
  • Your sign-in sessions on every device
  • Connected social accounts (Google, Apple, Microsoft)
  • Your linked email and calendar tokens
  • Your support and assistant chat history
  • Your individual lead/deal/merchant assignments
  • Your push notification tokens

Retained or anonymised

  • Leads, deals and merchants you created remain with the organisation for the team to continue working — they are unassigned, not deleted
  • Billing records and invoices (HMRC requires we keep these for 7 years)
  • Audit log entries showing actions you took, anonymised to "deleted user" for compliance
  • Aggregate, non-identifiable usage statistics

If you want the entire organisation (and therefore every lead, deal, merchant and team member) deleted as well, you must be the organisation owner. Email support@closerr.co.uk from the owner address and we will close the workspace and delete its data within 90 days.

Subscriptions and billing

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription billed through the Apple App Store. Apple manages those subscriptions, not us. To cancel:

Outstanding invoices and refunds, if any, are handled per the Terms of Service.

Data we are required to keep

Some data must be retained even after deletion to comply with UK law:

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"), access (to a copy of your data), portability (in a machine-readable format) and several others. To exercise any of these, email support@closerr.co.uk. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
